Performs highly technical and professional civil engineering work involving the application of advanced technical engineering practice in performance of design, construction and inspection of Public Works facilities, field collection of civil engineering data and development of specific solutions to problems related to the technical activities of the Engineering Division; supervises engineering technicians and civil engineers.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university plus 7 years of engineering experience including 2 years managing and supervising staff and engineering projects. At least 2 years of experience must have been in public sector related engineering. At time of application, must possess a Professional Engineer's license in the State of Connecticut, or possess a Professional Engineer's license in another State that would permit reciprocity with Connecticut within 6 months of the date of employment.
