The Senior Project Manager leads, manages, and coordinates complex and technically challenging capital improvement, department operational projects from establishment of project scope through completion including warranty period if applicable. Duties may include, but are not limited to, project research; document drafting and preparation; contract review and development; plans, specification, and bid document preparation; bid coordination and review; project updates; construction administration; on-site inspection and coordination; and other related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Requires a minimum of five years experience in a related field and a valid Driver's License.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 (five) years experience as a project manager for the design and construction of various Municipal Infrastructure projects including underground utilities, roadways, facilities, parks. This individual should have excellent organizational skills and be highly effective in both oral and written communications. The ability to work well independently and as a team to achieve department performance goals is significant.
