The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Institute for Renewable Fuels and Dr. Thomas Brutnell’s lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a full-time Postdoctoral Associate position. This position will be responsible leading efforts in understanding gene regulatory networks required for differentiation of C4 photosynthetic cell types in maize and S. viridis using systems and synthetic biology approaches.
Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in plant biology, genetics, biochemistry or related field. Other qualifications include experience with Yeast 2 hybrid, Yeast 1 hybrid, ChIPseq and RNAseq analysis, familiarity with cell biological techniques including confocal microscopy and image analysis, experience with plants and molecular genetics, ability to direct own research efforts as well as to critique project strategy, ability to demonstrate project leadership and guidance for other research associates or graduate students, effective written and oral communication and demonstrated collaboration skills.
