We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Bridge Engineers for our Irvine, CA Office. The role will be to manage and design municipal and State projects for streets/highways/freeways involving bridges and civil structures. Responsible for managing discipline tasks and be responsible for developing plans, calculations, specifications and cost estimates. Strong client service attitude, a self-motivated approach and an ability to manage a variety of tasks in a high quality manner within a dynamic team environment. Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates and project plans for bridges and other structures. Additional duties may include field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with ten years of experience in bridge design
Registered California P.E. in Civil or Structural Engineering
Self-motivated, technically proficient
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling, organization and problem solving
Familiarity with software programs including LEAP, MathCAD, RISA (finite element) and LPile
Some ability in CADD is required
MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD and Civil3D experience a plus.
Willing to travel periodically within the region and to AZTEC headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally uses advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. A working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
