We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Civil Designers for our Phoenix office. The position will be providing Civil Engineering and related CAD support to the Energy Group for their Solar Photovoltaic projects. The essential functions and responsibilities will be to perform engineering assignments and tasks, compile data, perform design computations (grading, drainage, estimations), and mainly preparing engineering CAD plans and construction details based on existing templates. Works under Project Manager/Civil Designer supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected. This position will require an individual that is willing to perform a variety of tasks and work both independently and as part of a team. This position at times will assist the Project Team in technical meetings and correspondence with clients.
Assisting senior design personnel in developing and completing designs and contract documents. Civil Design of large scale utility solar plants throughout the Country. Ability to function as a project engineer and understand all aspects of design and plan production. Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates and project plans.
Self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team-oriented. Travel periodically and be physically capable of performing field work.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
Holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or able to obtain in 6 months of hire
Entry Level to Two (2) plus years of civil experience or related field
Experience using AutoCAD
Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
Must have solid skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling; organization; problem solving; and decision
Project Wise experience is a plus
Civil 3D and earthwork modeling experience a plus.
