The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has an immediate opening in our Reston office for a technical program manager. Incumbent will manage various ASCE technical councils, divisions, and subcommittees across a diverse range of civil engineering disciplines as well as their respective budgets, policies, and technical and educational programs.
Facilitating and arranging in-person meetings and conference calls
Developing and distributing meeting minutes and agendas
Developing content for technical committees’ web pages
Preparing and analyzing reports
Planning, implementing, and executing technical/educational sessions and workshops
Developing and managing a budget
Ideal candidates will have:
A bachelor's degree (advanced degree and/or degree in civil engineering a plus)
5-8 years’ experience with demonstrated success managing programs and volunteers
Association experience is preferred
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, speaking, and writing skills
Thorough proficiency with MS Office
Ability to travel and work some weekends
