The Broward County Aviation Department which manages the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and North Perry Airport (HWO, a general aviation facility) seeks a dynamic experienced professional to manage Airport contracts for a wide variety of design and construction projects for the Airport. The Construction Project Management Supervisor will primarily perform advanced professional and administrative work with supervisory responsibilities for the management of the Airport's Noise Mitigation Program.
This class works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in architecture and/or engineering or closely related field. Requires six (6) years in professional architectural or engineering work, including four (4) years of experience in project management appropriate to the area of assignment. Requires Registration as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect based on area of assignment.
Experience in managing Noise Mitigation Programs (residential sound insulation projects)
Experience using Prolog
Experience in negotiating design and construction contracts
Experience in procurement of design and construction services
Experience supervising, mentoring and developing staff
Experience using Primavera Scheduling software
Master's Degree in Engineering/Architectural/Aviation or Construction Management
Accredited Airport Executive (AAE)
Large Hub Airport experience relating to design/construction
