Announcement: ODOT18-2242oc Assistant Project Manager – Professional Engineer 1 Region 1 Highway Division Portland
ODOT Region 1 is recruiting a professional engineer to assist the project manager (PM) in leading one of four Portland field construction engineering offices and directing the activities of fourteen employees. In this role, you will help administer complex construction projects and will verify that contractor work is compliant with plans and specifications. In addition, you will analyze and solve problems and negotiate agreements for solutions with contractors. Other duties include leading the construction crew during inspection, surveying, design, project documentation and ensuring quality and quantity compliance.
Minimum Qualifications: A valid professional engineer's (PE) license in civil, structural or transportation-related engineering.
Note: If registered in another state, successful applicants will be required to obtain professional registration in the state of Oregon within six months of hire.
Special Qualifications: Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).
