The Mill Site Technician is the front line of contact for a mill site. The responsibilities include:
Be available for emergencies as needed by mill and/or company personnel. Maintain all owned equipment in good working order and perform good housekeeping practices. Be a resource for our sales and technical team by providing information regarding upset conditions, product performance, and any concerns that the mill may have so that they can be addressed effectively. Facilitate the safe and accurate delivery of chemical materials both in bulk and containers. Position will cover accounts in the Louisiana area surrounding Baton Rouge and/or Shreveport but candidate may live within commuting distance.
Good communication skills
Able to work under time constraints.
Ability to safely perform maintenance and installation of pumping and storage equipment.
Excellent Problem solving skills
Knowledge of industrial hygiene and safe practices
Some travel required
Associates degree in pulp and paper science or equivalent years’ experience
