The City of Klamath Falls is looking for a Wastewater Division Manager to provide leadership and management for our Level IV Plant including collections and treatment. Reporting to the Public Works Director, this position also provides leadership and management for the wastewater utility including strategic planning, asset management, personnel development, fiscal management and regulatory compliance.
This Wastewater Division provides services to nearly 28,000 City of Klamath Falls residents and Klamath Basin area customers. It provides sewage collections/treatment and storm water collections services for the residents of Klamath Falls. Staff consisting of 13 full-time employees responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all equipment facilities and infrastructure. This includes 1 treatment plant, 150 miles of sanitary sewers, twelve wastewater pumping stations and 110 miles of storm water collection lines. Wastewater treatment facilities processing and averaged combined 2.2 million gallons of wastewater per day from over 7,400 service connections.
Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, chemistry, biology, waste treatment, or similar environmental field and certification as a Level IV Operator, including three years of progressive experience in a Level IV wastewater treatment system. An Associate’s degree may be accepted with a Level IV certification and six years of progressive experience.
