The Institute for Bridge Engineering (IBE) in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University at Buffalo seeks qualified applicants for a non-tenure track Lecturer 12 month position with an in house title of Executive Director, Institute for Bridge Engineering. This position will report to the Director of IBE. As appropriate, the candidate may be given an in house title in the Practice series such as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor of Practice. We seek an experienced bridge engineer to manage the daily affairs and activities of the Institute for Bridge Engineering (IBE); contribute to the educational mission of the bridge engineering program; mentor students and oversee graduate student projects in the bridge engineering program; and perform professional and society service in support of IBE.

MS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university in the United States. More than 10 years of professional practice as a bridge engineer in the United States. Preference is for a candidate with professional registration as a civil engineer in State of New York or ability to do so within 12 months of appointment.
