Perform inspection on machined parts to ensure customer quality expectations are met. Develop an improvement plan and maintain a system to assure all company products meet customer specifications for quality and reliability. Ensure Company maintains ISO 9001:2015 compliancy
Responsibility of ensuring that work is done to the required quality specifications of our customers, new and existing.
Responsible for the inspection and documentation of all machining operations and outside vendor services.
Responsible for contacting customers for verification of drawing specs and resolution of problems.
Interfacing with customers in the event of rejects and implementing corrective & preventative action procedures.
Maintain and improve current system for inspecting parts and perform first piece inspection of jobs.
Maintain and improve our current system which ensures less than two percent (2%) of work is returned, and we have ongoing improvement.
Maintain and improve our current system for final inspection and approval of jobs for shipment.
Responsible for maintaining gauge calibrations and records, and ensuring all gauges are within calibration limits.
Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner within company rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent years experience
Advanced knowledge of aerospace requirements and knowledge of flight safety hardware requirements
Demonstrate ability to work with Windows based software
Read and understand blueprints
Communicate effectively in written and oral formal
Read and comprehend purchase order and specification requirements
Use and understand precision measuring tools
Work with little direction or supervision
Skills in problem solving techniques
Experience in a team work environment, with quality concepts of TQM and SPC
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
Experience as a Designated Quality Representative
Have the ability to handle problems with internal and external customers. Corrected vision required for print reading & part inspection. Have the ability to spend up to ten (10) hours on the shop floor. Ability to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds.
