The Manager of Customer Renewable Solutions is responsible for the municipal electric utility’s distributed solar and green power offerings, including residential and commercial solar incentives, solar permitting, solar rates, community solar, and the GreenChoice voluntary green power program. The position manages a team of 9 staff, and reports to the Vice President of Customer Energy Solutions & Corporate Communications.
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience in renewable energy program administration, with an understanding of both regulated and deregulated electric markets, including two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Graduation with a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
Skill in establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, installers, elected officials, stakeholders, commissions, regulatory bodies, the media, general public and staff.
Knowledgeable about strategic issues facing electric utilities and the ERCOT market.
Comprehensive knowledge of distributed energy resources and means by which to enhance the customer experience.
Ability to assimilate complex utility engineering, billing and operational issues and assess optimal solutions to these issues.
