To achieve that, Lovevery needs to consistently produce premium quality products, with customer safety and satisfaction as top priorities. Lovevery is looking for a Quality Manager who is passionate about manufacturing high-quality children’s products.
This position reports directly to the VP of Product Safety and Quality.

Analytical Problem Solving – You have a natural ability to assess problems, develop creative solutions, and make sound decisions without constant supervision (after you have been trained on our Quality processes and systems).
Professional Communication – This is a connective role with important interfaces across product development, engineering, and operations. You have the ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with other departments, your team, and your manager.
Review products on an ongoing basis to determine whether the incoming goods from manufacturing meet our standards, so we can release them to inventory and sell them
Manage our Quality Inspection team, processes, and protocol to ensure compliance with strict quality standards. This position is a personnel hiring and management position
Organize and supervise the Quality Inspection team at our Meridian, Idaho warehouse M-F
Work with our overseas manufacturing and supply teams to provide timely feedback, so that our shipments can be released to inventory for sales
Manage documents and pictures, and carry-out standardized procedures for Quality Assurance
Must be internally driven to organize and keep good records
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
3+ years of experience (5+ preferred) with Product Quality Management, preferably with consumer products - additionally, toys and childcare products preferred
Preference for candidates who attended rigorous academic programs, including military training – Business and Engineering degrees preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated raw materials for wood, textiles, paint, coatings, wood joinery, and injection-molded plastics
Understanding of industry standard Quality Inspection levels - AQL inspections and good product safety judgment will be required
This position is a leadership role within the Quality organization, supporting the VP of Quality, and acting as our Product Quality liaison to Operations and the Marketing teams in Meridian and Boise, ID.
The Quality Manager will hire and provide leadership, training, scheduling, and direction to the shift Quality Inspectors.
Hiring Manager for all Quality Inspectors on your team, as needed
Must have excellent time management skills and understand and continuously improve efficiency of the Quality work cycles
Provides daily, weekly, and monthly direction to shift Quality Inspectors
Prepares and conducts performance reviews for staff during corporate review cycles
Provides training on Quality System programs for shift employees
Schedules shift Quality Inspectors for incoming product inspections, cleaning, and sanitation of the shared workspaces
Monitors and evaluates incoming shipments from suppliers; adapts schedules and staff as needed for timely inventory inspections and clearance
Ensures timely resolution for disposition of nonconforming products, in close collaboration with the VP of Quality
Ensures accurate documentation for vendor investigations that need to be fed-back to Supplier Managers, Engineering, and Operations
Evaluates, audits and continuously improves methods for inspection, communication with other Departments and the VP of Quality, good long-term records keeping, and product evaluations to AQL standards
Provides hands-on inspection backup, for shift Quality Inspectors during absences
Provides support, with good data and records, for the VP of Product Safety and Quality for compliance investigations
Assists in the development of long and short-term Quality Team goals across multiple Departments, including Product Design, Engineering, Supplier Management, and Operations
Supports Operations and Warehouse Managers to schedule timely Quality Inspections in Meridian, so that products needed for salable inventory are not delayed

Works in a safe, courteous manner while abiding by standard safety policies and procedures
Maintains a clean, safe work environment for employees within OSHA and company regulations
Maintains a positive work environment – must be diplomatic with your team and other Department Managers
Performs other related duties as assigned - this list will change as we grow our company and your teams
Environmental Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, walk and lift objects up to 20 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift
Ability to wear PPE – gloves, ear plugs occasionally if needed but the warehouse environment sounds are typically moderate, and must wear masks and respect and adhere to social distancing in the workplace (COVID duration)
Ability to read and write printed data from reports, as well as from a computer screen
Ability to enter data into a computer, including descriptions and photographs of inspected products, and to compose Quality reports per each shipment, container and pallet
Must be able to communicate easily by phone, Zoom, text, and email
Must be able to see different shades of color and patterns for product inspections
Sit at a desk for long periods of time
Stand on a hard surface for long periods of time
Demonstrates flexibility in mentally and physically moving quickly, from one duty to another, at any given time
Daily walking on concrete warehouse floors
