We are seeking a highly-motivated Traffic Engineer with two (2) to four (4) of experience ready to take on new challenges. This person can be located in our Raleigh, Charlotte or Richmond, Va offices.
Under the direction of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) you will accomplish the following tasks:
Utilize design software for conceptual, preliminary and detailed design for traffic engineer including signals, signing, pavement marking, ITS, lighting, and maintenance of traffic plans
Work on projects ranging from small-scale, isolated locations and/or designs to complex solutions for urban arterial networks and major freeway systems
Collaborate with a talented and professional team, and demonstrate your hands-on traffic engineering experience.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Two (2) - four (4) years of traffic engineering design experience
Understand traffic engineering and operations
Possess excellent technical writing skills
Have experience with or a willingness to learn MicroStation, GuidSign, AGI 32, AutoCAD, GEOPAK, HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic.
Licensed Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T)
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience working on DOT projects
