The primary responsibility of the Valve Technician is to perform both in-house repairs as well as travel to our varied customer sites to perform assembly and disassembly, assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and repairs of the various product lines based on the manufacturer’s specifications.
Responsibilities:
Job Preparedness and Planning
Reads purchase order and specifications to understand scope of work and expectation of the customer.
Ensures the necessary and proper tools are on- hand for job assignment.
Reviews and challenges coordinators that proper information is included in the job assignment for executing the job efficiently.
Communicates to Supervisor and Coordinator comfort level, ability or inability to complete assignment based on current skill set.
Reaches out to customer one day prior to assignment to confirm details of the job.
Technician Builds, Fieldwork and Repairs
Performs scope of work and follows manufacturers' procedures on completing repairs
Completes documentation for each assignment as required
Ensures that work assigned vehicles are up to date on maintenance requests, clean and well organized.
Responds to scheduled and unscheduled work orders.
Provides technical support and information to customers and sales staff as needed.
Responds to on-call requests outside of set work hours.
Follow ECI QA procedures and work instructions as directed in ECI service shop and on site.
Performs Positioner calibrations and any necessary adjustments on valve accessories.
Must earn and maintain MARC training and related certifications.
Required to communicate with coordinators in an ongoing manner regarding updates, changes, problems and workflow.
Team Support Expectations
Available to support the Company’s outage seasons and other long-term customer assignments as necessary.
Supports the production team in assisting with asset management for Company owned tools and related servicing needs.
Must earn and maintain MARC training and related certifications.
As a shared resource of the Service Department, must be willing and available to assist as needed with other disciplines (field and shop).

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
0-3 years’ experience in the process controls and automation industry and/or a technical trade school required.
Demonstrates basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Any knowledge of electrical and hydraulic actuators and familiarity with Pneumatics is a strong plus.
Ability and knowledge of how to use hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
Strong technical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting & repair skills.
Ability to take to Mechanical Aptitude Test and submit to random drug and alcohol testing through DISA program.
Ability to multitask.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Can work independently and exercise good judgment.
Curiosity and desire to learn.
Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record.
