The right candidate is a degreed engineer with experience in bridge and/or industrial projects. Duties will include preparation of design drawings, specifications, and reports, as well as generating studies and cost estimates. Successful candidates should have experience designing bridge and/or industrial structures using applicable codes (IBC, AASHTO, ASCE-7), as well as material design codes (AISC, ACI concrete, ACI masonry, etc.). Proficiency using design software (LEAP Bridge, STAAD, RISA, etc.), CAD, and spreadsheets is required. Individual shall be able to manage time effectively, and able to stay within defined project budgets and work scopes. Good people skills are necessary to work collaboratively as part of a design team and to communicate with clients, other project personnel, and management.
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering, Master’s degree with structural emphasis is a plus.
Licensed professional or ability to become licensed.
3 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Client outreach.
Knowledge in design of concrete (including prestressed) and steel elements per code requirements.
MicroStation and/or Revit experience desired.
Must be able to comply with all client and industry safety requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify technical issues.
