CDG Engineers, Inc. is looking to add degreed electrical engineers to their St. Louis, MO and Charlotte, NC offices. Candidates should be driven individuals that are excited about solving difficult engineering problems with the ability to innovate with unique solutions and new tools. CDG desires an individual who wants to learn new skills and demonstrates an ability to learn those new skills quickly. Quality in design and responsiveness to clients and fellow engineers is a must for this position.
Successful applicant will be responsible for independently and collaboratively solving electrical engineering problems for CDG's clients. Typical projects include power system design for low to medium voltage (MV) electrical systems; relaying design and implementation for MV or T&D systems; controls engineering including system design, PLC/SCADA programming, commissioning and startup; project management; and more. Projects span markets from heavy industrial to power utilities and renewable energy and vary from one project to the next.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer license desired but not required
5 - 10 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated expertise in any core area of:
T&D Substation design
Renewable Energy – Solar, BESS, Electrification
Power Engineering with a focus on heavy industrial systems
Automation Engineering or Programming – PLC, DCS, or SCADA Systems
System Relaying
Working ability with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools preferred.
Working knowledge of PVsyst or similar solar design software
Working knowledge of SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software preferred.
Working knowledge of PLC or DCS systems
Working knowledge of electric utility industry and environmental issues
Must be able to demonstrate that s/he can perform all of the essential functions of the position.
