Position Description
Product managers are responsible for understanding customer requirements and guide the development of a world class product to meet and exceed them. They sit in between sales, marketing, engineering, and development team to streamline the expectations, help prioritize them and get them tested, approved by customers. Product managers provide the deep product expertise needed to lead the organization and make strategic product decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
Defines the digital products strategy and development roadmap
Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product.
Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
Obtains and maintain product market share data by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs, establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data
Work closely with technology product development and delivery teams to oversee Minimum-viable-product (MVP) release cycles, in “Agile” fashion with prioritized features to meet stated and implied customer needs.
Drives commercialization and adoption of the products with customers and partners.
Manage the product lifecycle with defining future-state enhancements.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Develop training and on-boarding materials of digital assets
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform product demos to customers and train / assist Customer Onboarding team members
