The Component Engineer will be responsible for product lifecycle management and work closely with purchasing and engineering departments ensuring the availability of suitable components required to manufacture customer products. Responsibilities: · Selects, qualifies, approves, documents, and manages purchased components and direct material required for manufacturing. · Analyzes and qualifies interchangeable parts from sources outside the organization. · Finds alternate components for discontinued/obsolete components. · Maintains great working relationships with vendors and suppliers
