Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the General Ledger Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and FERC. The General Ledger Accountant will prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare financial statements and various other accounting statements and reports, and assist the Accounting Manager with month and year end close.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare monthly general ledger entries
• Support month end close process; making appropriate deferral, accrual, and, reclassifications
• Monthly bank statement reconciliation
• Asset Management
• Prepare monthly Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax Return
• Maintain documented processes and procedures
• Other projects as assigned with a continuous focus on process improvement
