Available Schedules:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Opportunity for alternate schedule after the first 90-days:
9-80 (nine-hour workdays with a three-day weekend every other week)
4-10 (10-hour, four-day work week)
Teleworking up to 1 day per week

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
Four (4) years of related engineering technical experience.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, surveying, construction management, computer science, or specific area of study as deemed applicable may substitute for four (4) years of experience; or,
Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as those listed above.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of mathematical concepts and drafting techniques; state and local statutes, codes, and regulations; recordkeeping principles and practices; databases and filing systems.
Use of computer and other office equipment effectively and efficiently.
Possession of a valid driver’s license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver’s license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)).
Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
Successful completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City.
Desired Attributes:
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
Traffic Control Technician (TCT) and Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certifications
Experience with traffic or transportation engineering design, operations, analysis, construction, and/or inspection
