The Opportunity
The Department of Decision Sciences in the School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Supply Chain Management at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2024, subject to final budgetary approval.
You will be part of our faculty in Supply Chain and Operations Management, a growing area within our school. You will teach our existing undergraduate courses in supply chain management (business logistics management, procurement and supply management, supply chain risk management, and supply chain process management) and help develop additional courses in this area. Your primary area of research should be aligned with supply chain management or a closely related field, leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals. As a faculty member in the discipline, you are expected to be active in building and fostering industry relations and in promoting the student co-op program within Alberta and beyond.
Qualifications
A completed Ph.D. by June 2024 in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field.
Demonstrated student focus and teaching effectiveness.
Evidence of ongoing research programs in areas related to, but not limited to, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Procurement. Additional research areas can include Operations Research, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain Technology.
Professional and industry experience in the Canadian context (preferred).
