The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin is recruiting an exceptional Clinical Geneticist to lead our Division of Genetics and Metabolism, as the Division Chief. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through scholarly contributions.
The UW Department of Pediatrics is a vibrant academic department comprising over 200 faculty in seventeen subspecialty divisions. The Department promotes and enhances the health of children through outstanding clinical care, exemplary education of pediatric trainees, performance of cutting edge research and vigorous advocacy. Our clinics are staffed by board-certified medical geneticists who are members of the Department of Pediatrics faculty. Our team consists of physicians, genetic counselors, dietitians, nurses, and fellows. Members of the division direct accredited training programs in genetic counseling, medical genetics, biochemical genetics, clinical cytogenetics, and molecular genetics.
Responsibilities:
Clinical care for patients at UW Health approved locations
Research, program development, division leadership administrative duties and education activities.
Division leadership administrative duties.
Completion of an ACGME-approved medical genetics and genomics categorical, combined genetics/ pediatrics or other combined genetics/primary care specialty and/or pediatric residency program is required.
Completion of an accredited Medical Biochemical Genetics fellowship is preferred, but not required.
Experience in an academic medical setting preferred.
